UCSD is among a select few educational institutions authorized by the U.S. Department of Labor to offer OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) numbered courses throughout Arizona, California, Guam, Hawaii & Nevada. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.
The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for students on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. The courses below enable students to teach the OSHA 10- and 30-hour classes that result in OSHA Outreach Program course completion cards for their students. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.
UCSD-developed safety and health courses are designed by our high quality and experienced faculty to bring applied safety regulations and curriculum to our students. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.
These courses will present Occupational Safety & Health topics as they relate to the state of California's Division of Occupational Safety and Health (better known as Cal/OSHA) standards and regulations. Though most applicable to students within California, courses are open to all students. Some courses may be applied to the Occupational Safety and Health Department Certificate Programs.
